Franke launches its quietly stylish Maris cooker hood in black glass
Franke has enlarged its range of highly popular decorative cooker hoods with the launch of its new Maris model in sleek black glass.
In a stylish design with 90cm wide flat front and rounded corners, this is the only hood in the range which, when in recirculatory mode, does not require a chimney so it can be fitted to a wall compactly, similar to a flat screen TV - a feature that is likely to find favour with tech-savvy customers.
The Maris is exceptionally quiet when running. Its premium sound insulation gives unrivalled noise reduction to just 50 - 55 decibels - even quieter than the 'ideal' 55 decibel level acknowledged across the industry. It has a comfort light setting for subdued ambient lighting and the convenience of electronic touch control.
Its high performance 250W energy 800 motor gives three extraction speeds plus an intensive setting and, by cleverly taking advantage of the Venturi effect, its perimetric extraction method offers excellent levels of efficiency without extra energy use.
Franke's easy-fit system makes installation as easy as hanging a picture. The hood slides right into the centrally-mounted core, making it easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance.
Maris can also be fitted with a chimney kit for outdoor extraction or, where no external flue is available, it can be used in recirculatory mode with a charcoal filter.
