Franke's More in Store 'Expert Series' kicks off in May with top designer showing retailers 'how to make the most of their showroom display'

* Elaine-Cowan.jpgAs part of Franke's More in Store campaign commitment to support its participating independent specialist retailers, the first 'Expert Series' event is to run at five UK venues during May and will cover all aspects of showroom design.

Invitations will be going out to More in Store members this week and further information can be found at www.moreinstore.co.uk

For this first seminar Franke has teamed up with experienced interior designer, Elaine Cowan, who will present wide-ranging and creative examples of how to make the most of available showroom display space, inside and out, whether large or small.

A qualified interior designer, Elaine has extensive experience working with some of the most prestigious kitchen and bedroom brands. For 25 years she was co-owner and designer at Glasgow-based Cameron Interiors, selling Bulthaup and Pronorm kitchen brands, and latterly added a Bulthaup studio in Edinburgh. For the last three years she's combined designing showroom displays for Pronorm's UK and Irish dealers with private consultancy work for retailers across the UK and beyond.

The Showroom Design event is an interactive breakfast seminar in which Elaine will reveal how design, atmosphere and flow affects customer engagement, how to get more customers through the door, and give tips on how to keep a showroom 'ready for business' at all times.

As an added bonus all attendees are encouraged to bring photographs of their showrooms for a quick consultation with Elaine on the day. After the event attendees will also be eligible for a Franke-funded email consultation with Elaine. She will also be available for more in-depth consultations when charges will apply.

The May Showroom Design seminars are scheduled for:
* Wed 14th May, Franke's UK Office, Manchester
* Thu 15th May, MacDonald Houstoun House, Uphall, West Lothian
* Tue 20th May, MacDonald Ansty Hotel, Ansty, Nr Coventry
* Wed 21st May, Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London
* Thu 22nd May, Aztec Hotel, Almondsbury, Bristol

In addition to the Expert Series events, other exclusive More in Store promotional activities are planned throughout the year, designed to increase awareness and encourage consumer footfall, including money-off incentives for consumers to visit showrooms, high profile product competitions in consumer magazines, regular product promotional offers, quality in-store POS materials and giveaways to help close a sale - and a major charity initiative.

Launched at the start of the year, the More in Store campaign currently has over 1,000 participating independent retailers nationwide. It is free to apply for and interested retailers should visit www.moreinstore.co.uk

"We realise that a retailer's time is precious so we've created the 'Expert Series' as professionally run events where industry specialists will pass on their knowledge to help our specialist retailers improve their businesses," says Neil Clark, marketing director. "We're convinced retailers will find them a worthwhile investment, helping them to grow and prosper."
