Hansgrohe establishes new subsidiary in Brazil

Hansgrohe, the bathroom and sanitation specialist, has opened a new branch in Brazil. This means that Hansgrohe has now entered the fourth and last of the BRIC markets (Brazil, Russia, India and China), consistent with its ongoing internationalisation strategy.

"We estimate that about 50% of Hansgrohe's growth will be contributed by these emerging markets and the so-called 'Next Eleven'," explains Siegfried Gänßlen, CEO of Hansgrohe AG.

In Brazil, the growth potential for Hansgrohe is not limited to the numerous building projects in connection with the football World Cup in 2014. As one of the few global players in the sanitation industry, Hansgrohe is able to take advantage of its good reputation as a premium mixer and shower brand in the important project business. Of growing importance is the competence of the company in the areas of technologies for the efficient use of water and in grey-water recycling.

Hansgrohe is currently investing in the expansion of its distribution network in Brazil and there are plans for the establishment of a Hansgrohe Aquademy in São Paulo in 2011.
