Miele is star performer in the Which? 2015 Best Appliance Brands Survey

In the Which? 2015 Best Appliance Brands Survey, the German premium domestic appliance manufacturer, Miele is the 'Best Brand Overall' in five (cylinder vacuum cleaners, upright vacuum cleaners, washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers) out of the eight categories it is featured in.

Simon Grantham, (pictured) managing director for Miele GB says: "We are committed to offering customers products that embody our ethos of 'Immer Besser' (Forever Better) and it is great to receive this recognition in the Which? 2015 Best Appliance Brands Survey."

A highlight of the survey includes:

"Miele has the highest reliability score of any washing machine brand and is also the best brand overall. In fact, Miele washing machines are so reliable that 72% of its models owned by our members remain fault free even after 10 years."

The report, published in the January 2015 issue, surveyed 10,986 Which? members about the products they own in 15 appliance categories.

Which? analysed the results to uncover which are most and least reliable, the brands that foster customer loyalty, the ones considered best value for money and those with the highest customer score. Customer scores are based on how satisfied owners are with products and how likely they are to recommend them to friends and family.

The survey results were combined with data from the most recent Which? lab tests to reveal the best and worst brand overall for each appliance. Tables are ranked by reliability, but the top brand for reliability isn't necessarily the best overall. To find the very best brands overall, for each category, Which? has averaged each brand's ranking for reliability, customer score and average test score under its latest test program. In addition, the best brands must not have any Don't Buys, and usually will have at least one Best Buy.
