Dream Doors opens 50th retail showroom as demand for kitchen makeovers continues to grow

* Dream-Doors_Kempston.jpgThe Dream Doors kitchen makeover franchise launched its 50th UK showroom yesterday, with the opening of a new retail showroom in Kempston, Bedfordshire.

Dream Doors offers kitchen makeovers for a fraction of the cost of a full re-fit, replacing doors, worktops and drawer fronts to transform a kitchen within just 48 hours. With more than 5,000 kitchen makeovers completed across the Dream Doors network in 2014, the market opportunity for franchises is huge, with demand set to increase even further in 2015.

Dream Doors' turnover in 2014 topped £20M for the first time, and the average turnover per franchise increased by 20% in 2014 vs 2013. Dream Doors MD Troy Tappenden (seen on the left in the top picture), believes they have found a model which is transferable all over the UK:

"People love their kitchens, but many consumers just don't want to spend £ 10s of thousands on a re-fit and put up with the weeks of disruption it causes. That's why our franchisees are doing so well, filling a market need that exists from Aberdeen down to Cornwall and at all points in between. We have a number of other showroom launches over the coming months and will be looking to open our 60th showroom by the end of 2015."

* White-Lincoln.jpgThe new Dream Doors showroom is run by Graham Eaton, who feels there is a major opportunity to capitalise on the demand for kitchen makeovers:
"I'd looked at other franchise options, but felt the consumer demand in this sector was too good an opportunity to turn down. I had been a carpenter previously, so had some kitchen experience, but Dream Doors has given extensive training and lots of marketing support and I can't wait to get started. "The chance to work near my home, with my own retail premises, backed in every way possible by the Dream Doors HQ was really compelling and I'm confident it's going to be a great year."

Dream Doors is a full British Franchise Association member and independently monitored by CheckaTrade, so customers can be assured of the best possible standards in product and service. All franchisees get free training into how to run a Dream Doors franchise, from sales techniques to understanding the latest colours and trends in kitchen design. All training is free and new franchisees are given all the support they need to make their showroom a success.

Troy Tappenden adds: "We had our first one million pound franchise in 2014, with several more not far behind. Our products and services are constantly in demand, which means our franchisees are too. It offers them a great opportunity to run their own business with our support and we are delighted to welcome Graham on board as our 50th showroom."

Dream Doors first opened in Hampshire in 1999 and has become an established and trusted national brand giving a new lease of life to old kitchens. The company currently has a local presence in 50 high streets up and down the UK, and each showroom offers the same kitchen facelift service and vast range of made to measure replacement kitchen doors, worktops and accessories.
