Three AEG Grassroots rugby teams have won the training session of a lifetime!

* AEG-Grassroots.jpgThe winners of the AEG Grassroots competition for a training session with a Rugby Legend have been chosen. They are:

* Letterkenny RFC U14s from Co Donegal, Ireland,
* Abercwmboi RFC U12s from the Cynon Valley, Wales and
* Trojans U14s from Southampton

The winners were selected by a supporters vote from a shortlist of 20 clubs which have already won Canterbury kit and a state-of-the-art, energy efficient, AEG OKOMix washing machine.

Andrew Burton, Head Coach at Abercwmboi RFC (team pictured) commented: "Thank you AEG for the amazing kits; the boys love them - and to top it off we have been fortunate to secure enough votes to be one of the three lucky teams to win a training sessions with a Rugby Legend.

"It is an absolute pleasure to coach this amazing group of young men and to be able to provide them with this incredible opportunity means so much to me.

"We have worked incredibly hard to secure the votes and I am so thankful of the overwhelming support we have received. Opportunities such as this provide lads such as ours with incredible inspiration and memories that will last with them forever... One very proud and overjoyed coach."

AEG and Canterbury have been caring for Grassroots rugby for four years now. Since the last Rugby World Cup, over 200 clubs across the UK have received their Ultimate Kit & Laundry package, which includes bespoke Canterbury kit and AEG washing machines. Supporting Grassroots Rugby means giving young people the chance to play rugby, be part of a team and learn skills they'll use for the rest of their lives. AEG and Canterbury are committed to the game, to players, to coaches and to touchline heroes everywhere.
