New voluntary label offered by European Water Label, includes energy saving and technical icons
A new voluntary label has been introduced by the European Water Label to include an energy saving indication and range of technical icons.
Although water is the main metric of the scheme, it is recognised that energy saving is also key to raising awareness amongst consumers of the importance of water efficiency.
With a quarter of household energy bills associated with hot water, the EWL has developed a specific label for hot water- using products in the home.
Along with the energy icon, further technical icons have been developed which allow manufacturers to customise the label to their particular product range.
These technical icons include:
• Flow Regulator
• Thermostatic
• Cold start Position
• Pull Out spray
• Water break
• Temperature Control
• Time Flow
The new label is available via the European Water Label website along with a full explanation of how to use the new technical icons on products.
