Utopia strengthens sales team

As part of its ongoing commitment to provide the best possible support for its customers, Utopia Furniture Group has announced the further restructuring and expansion of its sales team.

Alex Patterson rejoins the company in the newly created position of regional sales manager: Scotland & Ireland.

This new role is the next phase of Utopia's sales & marketing strategy for Scotland and Ireland. Alex is a very experienced sales professional, with a vast knowledge of the furniture market and a firm understanding of the demographical customer needs for both countries, built up over many years in the industry.

Alex will continue to develop sales for Scotland through all routes to market and will also work closely with Darren Wilgar, business development manager for Ireland. With sales going from strength to strength in both Scotland and Ireland, Utopia sees this as a very important new role in order to consolidate and further develop its position.

At the same time, Andy Purtill, national accounts manager, will be adding to his responsibilities. As sales continue to grow in Holland and Belgium, Andy will now manage export sales on a day to day basis in order to maximise this route to market. This move represents the next step in Utopia's export sales strategy as the company expands sales further into Europe and beyond.
