Tonic II Range makes a splash for Ideal Standard at London's iconic OXO Tower

Some 200 delighted guests attended the launch of Ideal Standard's Tonic II with AquaBlade flush technology launch. The new collection was designed by award winning German design studio, Artefakt and comprises of ceramics, fittings, furniture and bathtubs.

Showcased in London's iconic OXO Tower, products were exhibited against the stunning backdrop of the Thames river bank, displayed against minimalist white room sets with beautiful chandelier lighting and set dressing.

The effect was that of an 'art installation' created to reflect the emphasis on Tonic II's strong design aesthetic.

The reaction to Tonic II from retailers was overwhelmingly positive, generating an unprecedented buzz and excitement. Amongst the first to arrive was Major Atwal, director of Trade Essential Fittings in Havant, Hampshire who commented: "It was an absolutely fantastic event, and a stunning venue in which to introduce the new range. Ideal Standard's sales team are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - it was very impressive all round."

Ideal Standard's core senior team, including managing director, Keith Boad, were on hand to talk through the collection with guests, which included an illustrious mix of UK retailers, architects and press.

With a refined soft geometric design, Tonic II's clean, beautiful lines were created to evoke calm and serenity. The new collection offers a broad choice of solutions and furniture combinations in delicately chic colour palettes, which work harmoniously in any surrounding.

The event also saw the launch of Ideal Standard's groundbreaking new AquaBlade flush technology, which uses two powerful plumes to power the wash and a 'microslot' system of channels to release a cascade of water from the top of the toilet bowl opening.

Demonstrations of the product 'in action' showcased the new technology to the industry's movers and shakers. Set to revolutionise the toilet market, unlike existing flushing systems where water does not cover the entire toilet bowl, AquaBlade technology gives optimum water flow from the top of the bowl on every flush, and covers every inch of the ceramic. Interior surfaces are also streamlined to give a quieter flush.

"This is by far our most successful launch event in recent years, with a record attendance of guests and a genuine excitement about the collection from our customers," said Ideal Standard's Anna Burns.
